2. Download and Protect Your Photographs
Follow these simple steps so your finished images remain safe and look their best:
· Download the files directly from your gallery. Do not use screenshots, because screenshots reduce image quality.
· Use the high-resolution files for printing and the web-sized files, when supplied, for websites and social media.
· Save a copy on your computer and a second copy in cloud storage or on an external drive.
· Keep the original filenames so the correct image can be identified if you need assistance later.
· Avoid applying filters or heavy edits. Your delivered photographs have already been professionally retouched and color-corrected.
3. Where to Use Your New Headshot
A consistent, current headshot helps people recognize you and builds confidence before they meet you. Consider updating:
· LinkedIn and other professional networking profiles
· Your company website and team biography
· Google Business Profile
· Email signature
· Facebook, Instagram, and Alignable business profiles
· Business cards, brochures, advertisements, and press releases
· Speaker profiles, conference programs, association directories, and media kits
· Resumes, job-search profiles, proposals, and presentation materials
4. LinkedIn, Website, and Social-Media Suggestions
For the strongest professional presentation:
· Update your major profiles at approximately the same time so people see one consistent image.
· Use a close, clean crop for profile photographs, with your face easy to recognize even at a small size.
· Use wider compositions on website biography pages, banners, advertisements, and marketing pieces.
· Keep important facial features away from the extreme edges because different platforms crop profile images differently.
· Pair your new headshot with a short introduction, career update, company announcement, or helpful professional tip.
Ready-to-Use Announcement
Post copy: I’m excited to share my new professional headshot! As my work continues to grow, I wanted an updated photograph that reflects how I serve my clients today. Thank you to Memorable Moments Photography in Vero Beach for making the experience comfortable and professional.
5. Share Your Experience
If you enjoyed your headshot experience, a Google review would mean a great deal to my small business. Your comments help other professionals in Vero Beach and across Florida’s Treasure Coast feel confident choosing Memorable Moments Photography.
Your headshot should look like the person clients and colleagues will meet today. I recommend reviewing it once a year and scheduling an update when:
· Your appearance or hairstyle changes noticeably
· You begin a new job, receive a promotion, or change careers
· Your company updates its branding or website
· Your current photograph is more than one or two years old
· You need a different background, expression, wardrobe, or image orientation
Memorable Moments Photography can send you an annual reminder so updating your professional image never becomes another forgotten task.
